We are currently conditioning for the big ride
Deb and I are training two times a day with our stationary training bicycle to rapidly get into shape. We are planning to fly from Panama City to Sacramento, California on the 13th of June to begin a west to east coast cross country bicycle trip. We will disassemble our bicycles and fly them out to California with us. We are looking at pedaling between 3000 and 4000 miles. Time may be a factor and it could force us to take the shortest route versus the most interesting and challenging route.

We would appreciate any support whatsoever in having a place to stay along the way on our trip. There are very few things that are appreciated, on a bicycle trip, as much as a hot shower after cycling 80-100 miles.
ReplyDeleteWe will begin in northern California and pedal over the Sierra Nevada Mountains to Reno, Nevada. We will then cycle acroos Nevada on the loneliest highway in America, Route 50. It is recommended that we bring 30 pounds of water. We ride into Utah and cross he state into Colorado. We will look at our progress at the continental divide and determine the rest of the trip at that point.
